Hello and welcome. I hope this message finds you healthy and happy. I am Chef Vee, my love affair for the culinary arts started when I was 9 years old after watching a Mc Donald's commercial. My niece and I were hungry, so I attempted and succeeded to make my rendition of their Egg McMuffin. Since that day, I have been in the kitchen coming up with concoctions. In 2002, I attended Le Cordon Bleu, California School of Culinary Arts, located in Pasadena, CA and completed my externship in Lima, Peru. I graduated in 2004 and started my catering company.
Moving to Las Vegas has been the best decision I have ever made besides becoming a mom. However, it was also the most terrifying decision because I was coming to a new city, had no job leads and no solid plan. Prior to my move I worked in the television and film industry for 20 years and had a strong background in entertainment law, but that practice is virtually non-existent here in Vegas. I was unemployed, discouraged and no idea what my next move was once my savings was depleted.
A few months after I moved to Vegas my friend, a bodyguard to high profile celebrities and athletes, called and asked me to cater a barbecue for one of his clients. I said sure, but to be honest I was a little nervous because I had just moved, barely had any equipment, had no team to help me and didn't know my way around. Needless to say, I pulled it off with the help of my best friend. I posted pictures of the food I cooked on Yelp and inadvertently created my business page...which unbeknownst to me at the time would eventually lead to a multitude of opportunities.
Since residing in Las Vegas, it has been a joy and honor to cater events from milestone celebrations, baby showers, wedding receptions to anniversary dinners and life celebrations, where people are creating unforgettable moments and long-lasting memories. My clientele ranges from billionaire moguls, high profile celebrities, NBA + NFL athletes to corporations like COX and T-Mobile to my Vegas Locals and those visiting our lovely city. Services include but are not limited to catering services, cooking classes, cooking parties, personal chef services, and high dining experiences. It's an understatement to say that I am blessed to be able to make a living from my craft and artistry. Thank you for your time.
P.S. You may or may not have seen me on Guy's Grocery Games, Season 5, Episode 12
XOXO,
CHEF VEE
